They may have different moms, different orientations, and pretty much be as different as day and night, but Sasha and Nadia are inseparable...

Sasha Willis, a young woman in her early twenties, finds herself in the difficult position of consoling her teenage sister, Nadia, who has been through an incredibly traumatic event. Nadia recently had to make a heart-wrenching decision to protect her mother, Clia Foster, by killing her own biological grandfather, Percy Barnett, whom she met for the first and last time shortly after he got out of prison, violated parole, and attempted to break into her family’s home in Luna Vista, California.

Having lost her own mother shortly before her ninth birthday in a tragic car accident, and not having been given a chance to save her, Sasha is a little envious of Nadia for having gotten such a chance, and proud of her for having not wasted it. At the same time, in the aftermath of such a tragic moment for Nadia, Sasha can somewhat understand the immense guilt, confusion, and sorrow that Nadia must be experiencing in the moment. She recognizes that her sister from a different mom, thankfully still alive because of Nadia’s albeit willingness to take the necessary action, had to make an unimaginably challenging choice, one that no one should ever be forced to make. Sasha empathizes with Nadia's pain and is determined to provide the support and understanding that her sister desperately needs.

Sasha creates a safe and non-judgmental environment for Nadia to express her feelings and thoughts openly. She knows that Nadia might be struggling with feelings of guilt, even though her actions were justified to protect their mother. Sasha reassures her sister that what she did was an act of immense bravery and selflessness, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the safety and well-being of loved ones.

As Nadia begins her healing journey, Sasha ensures that she is there for her every step of the way. She listens to Nadia's fears, anger, and sadness without judgment and offers her unwavering support. Sasha reminds Nadia that their love as sisters is unshakable, even in the face of such distressing circumstances.

Throughout their healing process, Sasha remains committed to rebuilding their lives and fostering a sense of normalcy and security. She encourages family activities, supports Nadia's hobbies and interests, and reminds her sister that life can still hold happiness and moments of joy, even after experiencing such a tragedy.

Sasha's presence and comfort are instrumental in helping Nadia come to terms with her actions. Sasha understands that forgiveness, both for Nadia and those around her, will be a challenging journey. She ensures Nadia that she is not alone, and together, with time and possibly some outside assistance, they will slowly rebuild their lives and find peace.
