The Importance of Having Good Friends

Personally, I find relationships beyond friends to be way, way overrated. Maybe because I like my independence and freedom a little too much for my own good, and no, not in some disturbing right-wing sense. I'm really not that far right or left on anything. I'll criticize the current occupant of the White House just as quickly as I'll lambast the previous or the next one.

Nobody's Property is a fictional story set in a fictional alternate universe of our multiverse. Nadia is a petite mostly dark red haired vigilante, save for a blonde streak on her right side, who kills child molesters, white supremacists, and the occasional politician or televangelist.

I'm convinced that insurance companies, as a general rule, might be slightly evil. Especially if you do gig work. They'll charge extra for alleged "rideshare or delivery" coverage, but then deny the claim if you have anything in your car, such as packages or food for someone else, if you ever need to file a claim. Seems like weasel BS to me, and as if they think that money is just theirs to keep. Kind of like the concept of lending money to a toddler, but who in their right mind would do that?Jokes about former presidents aside.

No, I'm not a vigilante in real life. However, there are hateful people out there who make me wish it was legal to be a vigilante and not just write about one. I was at a gas station down south recently, and a guy took one look at my Nadia graphic shirt - one where she's holding a knife and shovel, and he shied away from me as quickly as he could. I almost wondered if he had read the series, because the coaster buddy I went on the road trip to Charlotte and Richmond with pointed out that the guy was a white supremacist as we were leaving (and yes, we both flipped the racist scumbag off on the way back to the hotel.) - apparently he'd noticed an SS logo on the front of the guy's shirt that I had missed.

Maybe I could use a few of those endangered plants...oh wait, that wouldn't work.
